How you help us

You will help us analyse the phenomenon and understand it better: the most common coastal blooms in Calabria are 5–7 metre wide green-water strips along the shoreline, and at that scale no free satellite currently available can see them. User photos are our only reliable source for those events, and for each report we cross-check the area against Copernicus data (sea temperature, stratification, wind) and ARPACAL sampling in the previous 48 h, to reconstruct the conditions that caused the event. See the How it works page for the scientific reuse of the collected data.
