TYRN SEA v. 1.6 BetaBloom & mucilage preconditions · Calabrian coast

Privacy notice

How TYRN SEA handles (or rather, does not handle) visitors' data.

In short

TYRN SEA is a purely informational site. It does not collect personal data: there are no contact forms, sign-ups or restricted areas. No advertising or profiling tracking tools are used.

Data processed

Database

The site database contains only the marine forecasts. No visitor-related data is stored in it.

Server technical logs

The hosting server (Aruba S.p.A., with servers in the European Union) logs, like any web server, technical data such as IP address and request time, managed by the provider for security and diagnostics.

External services

For the map and charts the site loads resources from third-party services (OpenStreetMap; jsDelivr and unpkg for the libraries). In serving this content those services may receive the visitor's IP address: a technically necessary step, not profiling.

Controller and rights

Site controller: Michele Mercuri. As no identifying personal data is processed by the site, there is no profiling on which to exercise rights. Under EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) any data subject may still request information about processing.

The environmental data comes from the European Union's Copernicus Marine Service, distributed under an open licence.
